ParentSquare is a rapidly growing Santa Barbara-based company that's changing the way schools and parents communicate every day. Sound simple? We strive to keep it that way! Our mission is to give schools the power to incredibly enhance family engagement for all students. ParentSquare and RemindHub, our flagship products, serve over 22 million students and drive our mission by providing unified communications tools -forms, sign ups, payments, RSVPs, direct messaging, language translations, chat and more. Remind Chat, our free product, reaches over 80% of K-12 students, providing a safe and easy-to-use platform for direct communication between teachers and families. And our latest innovation, SmartSites, offers state-of-the-art websites for school districts, enhancing their online presence and accessibility.

We are not just creating a product; we are creating empowered educators and engaged parents to improve the lives of all students. We are passionate advocates for our customers and for our employees and we invite you to join us on this exciting journey.

Who we're looking for:

ParentSquare is seeking a Director of Website & Brands to run parentsquare.com and remind.com and keep our brand consistent everywhere it shows up. You're a hands on leader who will lead a small team as well as our agency partners to make sure our web properties are optimized for SEO/AEO and tell our story to prospective clients and customers. You'll also partner closely with Product Marketing, Communications, and Demand Generation to ensure ParentSquare's story and visual identity lands consistently wherever a family, district, or prospect encounters it.

In This Role You'll Own:

  • Setting the roadmap for both websites and running day-to-day updates, with agencies brought in for redesigns and bigger builds
  • Improving search and AI-search visibility (SEO/AEO), site speed, and demo conversion, using tests you design with Marketing Analytics
  • Launching pages and campaigns with Product Marketing and Comms, and working with RevOps and SDRs on how prospects research us before talking to sales
  • Maintaining brand guidelines across web, sales collateral, social, events, RFP responses, and case studies
  • Building self-serve templates and brand kits so other teams can create on-brand work without waiting on design
  • Using AI tools to speed up design and video production for demos, social, and sales enablement
  • Managing the marketing design team and the request queue so turnaround stays predictable
  • Partnering with Legal, Product Ops, and our AI Platform team to keep sites and tools aligned with K-12 privacy standards

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 7+ years leading brand and/or web work, ideally in B2B SaaS
  • Experience running a website end to end, including agency management
  • Experience managing designers or a creative team
  • Hands-on SEO/AEO experience and working knowledge of WordPress or Webflow
  • A portfolio that shows both strategy and your own craft
  • Practical experience using AI tools in a creative workflow

Bonus points for:

  • EdTech or K-12 experience
  • Building WordPress plugins or AI-assisted site tools

Most importantly, you're someone who shares in our passion for improving the lives of students through communication.

The perks of working for us are great!

You'll get your foot in the door as our company continues to grow. We're big believers in work-life balance and provide:

  • Employer-paid health insurance (including dependent coverage)
  • An employer-matched 401K retirement savings program from day 1
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Stock options
  • Health + wellness reimbursements
  • PTO that increases each year
  • 15 paid holidays, including your birthday!

As a fully remote team, we'll make sure you have all the tools and equipment you need to make your home office a place where you can thrive.

We're an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status. We are committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace in compliance with applicable state laws.

The salary range for this role will be $165,000-$195,000, DOE.

Common Interview Questions And Answers

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

4. WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR PHYSICAL WORKSPACE TO SUCCEED IN YOUR WORK?

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

The day I watched Marie Forleo's film separating the important from the urgent, my life changed. Not all remote jobs start fast, but most of them are...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
