THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: Perform all activities related to planning and scheduling of all inbound collect shipments into Ulta’s DC’s to ensure orders are planned in a cost-effective manner while maintaining a high level of service. In addition, this role will focus on improving processes through data analysis and predictive analytics, identification, documentation, and implementation. This individual works closely with carriers, suppliers, and many internal cross-functional partners to troubleshoot pain points and develop innovative solutions to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Load plan and tender ~\$30 million in inbound collect shipments utilizing Ulta’s TMS platform.
  • Analyze using diagnostic and predictive analytics to ensure mode optimization and consolidation opportunities for all shipments
  • Identify and then partner with MP&I and Supplier Ops to coordinate and achieve natural consolidation opportunities by origin
  • Work with vendors and carriers to coordinate all delivery appointments into Ulta’s DC’s within a timely fashion, escalating where necessary
  • Extend our vendor’s capabilities by assisting with BOL generation and general transportation knowledge.
  • Support our internal partners with shipments that are not maintained thru SAP and require manual intervention.
  • Support manual shipments of all RTVs, RTDCs and DC to DC transfer
  • Collaborate with MP&I, Inventory, DC Operations and DCs to meet inventory-based demands
  • Creates and manages Carrier, DC and/or Brand Partner compliance using data analytics
  • Responsible for Shipper, Carrier and DC compliance areas are reviewed using data analyics
  • Manage shipment exceptions, shipment prioritization and expedited shipments. When necessary, assist in tracking shipments and manage daily exceptions to ensure desired service results
  • Partner with carriers to ensure their capacity meets Ulta’s demands
  • Train DC personnel on Transportation related activities
  • Seek to improve the current process with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Participate in transportation-related projects and support the transportation strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, minimum 3-5 years of experience in supply chain.
  • Microsoft Office and TMS proficiency required, advanced Excel, PowerPoint skills preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and TMS required. Must be comfortable learning new software.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Strong organization and follow up skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to evaluate situations and make informed decisions
  • Able to perform multiple tasks at the same time
  • Able to match appointments to DC capacity and operational requirements

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience managing vendors/carriers preferred
  • Experience in process improvement and best practices preferred.
