Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team in Mombasa. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations across transportation, inventory management, and supply chain processes. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring logistics operations while working closely with suppliers, partners, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. This role is crucial in optimizing operational efficiency and maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods to ensure efficient flow from suppliers to customers.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and deliveries using logistics management systems.

  • Liaise with vendors, freight companies, and internal departments to schedule shipments and ensure compliance with timelines.

  • Track and resolve issues related to delays, damages, or shortages in the supply chain.

  • Monitor logistics performance, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to improve processes.

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and international shipping guidelines.

  • Support budgeting, procurement, and forecasting activities to optimize operational costs.

  • Assist in vendor negotiations and relationship management to ensure cost-effective solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination, supply chain management, or transportation planning.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficient in using logistics software, ERP systems, and MS Office tools.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience in logistics coordination, supply chain operations, or transportation management.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Occasional extended hours based on operational demands.
