Process Improvement & Operations Consultant | Monday.com + Workflow Optimization

Other Jobs To Apply

We’re looking for an experienced Process Improvement & Operations Consultant to support a client engagement as a subcontractor through our consulting firm.

This is a part-time, flexible consulting engagement with hours varying based on active initiatives and project needs. You’ll be able to independently own assigned workstreams and may work directly with client stakeholders, while staying aligned with the overall engagement scope and direction.

The work will primarily focus on helping an organization improve how work gets done. This includes:

- Assessing current workflows, pain points, handoffs, and ownership

- Process mapping and current-state/future-state workflow design

- Developing SOPs, process documentation, templates, and recommendations

- Implementing approved process improvements

- Building or improving workflows in Monday.com

- Improving how information and files are organized across Microsoft 365 and cloud-based platforms

- Identifying practical opportunities for automation and AI

- Supporting adoption and helping ensure new processes actually work for the people using them

The client is continuing to mature operationally, so this is important: we are not looking to overengineer solutions. You should be comfortable meeting a team where they are, introducing the right amount of structure for their current needs, and helping move them toward greater maturity over time.

We’re also using this engagement to pilot and refine our firm's process improvement delivery approach. We already have a strong starting framework, templates, and tools, but they are not set in stone. Part of this role will be helping us test what works, identify gaps, refine our materials, and build a more standardized and repeatable approach for future engagements.

We’re looking for someone who can bring expertise and ideas while also working collaboratively within the firm's direction. You should be comfortable taking ownership of delegated work, reviewing existing documentation and context before escalating questions, documenting your work thoroughly, and knowing when you can move something forward independently versus when collaboration/alignment is needed.

Experience we're looking for:

- Strong process improvement and workflow design experience

- Strong Monday.com experience

- Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams

- SharePoint, Box, Dropbox, or similar cloud file-management platforms

- Process mapping, SOP development, and workflow documentation

- Workflow automation and practical AI use cases

- Experience implementing processes, not just recommending them

- Strong client-facing communication skills

Experience working with organizations that are still developing their operational maturity is especially valuable.

Engagement Details:

This is a part-time, variable-hours contractor role, and hours may fluctuate based on active initiatives. There is no guaranteed weekly hour commitment.

You will be contracted through our consulting firm and report to the Principal Consultant. There may be opportunities to support additional client engagements in the future if there is a strong fit.

Rate:$45-$65/hour, depending on experience.

To apply, please briefly answer:

1. Tell us about a process improvement initiative you personally helped assess, redesign, and implement.

2. What is your experience with Monday.com and process/workflow design?

3. Have you worked with organizations with lower operational/process maturity? How do you avoid overengineering solutions?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? 2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
