The Associate Scientist II will independently generate precise, reliable, and reproducible data while demonstrating strong data interpretation skills and understanding of core scientific disciplines.


Responsibilities

  • Act as Non-Conformance Report (NCR) Owner for investigations projects
  • Generate and manage change plans for New Product Introductions (NPI) projects
  • Perform routine tasks competently and independently, and generate reliable and consistent results
  • Analyze and critique results, noting significant deviations
  • Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation
  • Learn and understand new experimental techniques
  • Demonstrate skill in multiple techniques and appropriately modify protocols, as required, to suit the changing needs of research or development sciences
  • Place data in proper scientific context by consulting and citing relevant literature
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in his/her field
  • Impact projects predominantly through lab and/or pilot plant based activities
  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug and radioactive compounds, GxP compliance, and animal care where applicable

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (Sciences preferred), or equivalent education, with typically three (3) or more years' experience
  • Master's Degree or equivalent education (no additional experience)
  • Experience in aseptic filling processes in controlled environments
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge to carry out job function
  • Demonstrated ability to independently design, execute and interpret critical experiments to answer scientific questions
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, understand and master new experimental techniques
  • Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional team skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and technical documentation abilities
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written
