Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Remote Transcriptionist to join our dynamic remote team. Key Responsibilities

  • Listen to audio and video recordings and accurately convert them into clear, error-free written text.

  • Review, proofread, and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and formatting consistency.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company data security guidelines at all times.

  • Follow specific style guides and formatting instructions for each transcription project.

  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining high-quality output.

  • Communicate with project managers and clients to clarify audio content or transcription requirements.

  • Identify and flag unclear sections or inaudible content appropriately in transcripts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Exceptional English language proficiency with strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.

  • Proficient typing speed (minimum 60 words per minute) with high accuracy.

  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills to understand diverse accents and speech patterns.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.

  • Familiarity with transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, oTranscribe, or similar tools).

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience

  • Previous transcription experience is highly preferred but not mandatory for skilled candidates.

  • Experience in legal, medical, or business transcription will be considered an added advantage.
