The position will focus primarily on oncology chromosomes utilizing the Applied Spectral Imaging software and may include onscreen FISH analysis utilizing Metasystems Neon.<br><br><strong>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with some flexibility<br><br></strong><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Perform analysis of chromosomes, which includes imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens</li><li>Review test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysis</li><li>Summarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclature</li><li>Distinguish between normal and abnormal test results</li><li>Perform and evaluate troubleshooting, document all corrective actions as needed</li><li>Comply with company policies and procedures<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology</li><li>3 years of experience working in a Cytogenetics clinical laboratory</li><li>2 years of experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images </li><li>2 year of experience in Oncology cytogenetics<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG)</li><li>1 year or more of FISH Oncology Cytogenetics experience<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Job Standards<br><br></strong><ul><li>Computer skills; must be able to effectively use the Internet, email, text messaging, chat applications, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. </li><li>Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback</li><li>Strong patient focus</li><li>Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional development</li><li>Self-motivated and self-starter with ability to work independently with limited supervision<br><br></li></ul>Application Window Open Through: 9/29/26<br><br>Salary Range: $25 - $42/hour<br><br>All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.<br><br><strong>Work Location:</strong> Remote based in US<br><br>Candidate can be located anywhere in the US.
