## Join Palmetto GBA as a Supervisor, Government Audit At Palmetto GBA, we are a healthcare service administrator and one of the nation’s largest providers of high-volume medical claims and transaction processing. We are looking for an experienced Supervisor, Government Audit to lead the receipt, review, and settlement of Medicare cost reports. In this role, you will ensure all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements are met throughout the process. ### What You'll Do You will be responsible for overseeing the audit team's work papers to ensure compliance with CMS and other government auditing standards. Your duties include performing supervisory reviews of cost report acceptances and desk reviews to maintain timeliness and CMS standards. You'll plan, monitor, and budget work for the team, evaluating and reporting results. Additionally, you will review settlement packages to confirm they meet all CMS standards. A key part of your role involves developing audit staff through on-the-job training and presenting formal training sessions. You'll also research issues and respond to provider and CMS requests in a timely manner. ### What We're Looking For To succeed in this position, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in a job-related field and a minimum of 5 years of auditing or accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role. Equivalent military experience at grade E4 or above is also acceptable. You need knowledge of cost accounting standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, as well as familiarity with auditing standards and statistical sampling techniques. Strong planning, organization, and human relations skills are essential. You should be able to analyze financial data, gather information from records and interviews, and work professionally with individuals at all levels. Effective communication—both oral and written—is a must, along with the ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially. You should be comfortable making presentations and applying critical thinking skills. Knowledge of the provider reimbursement review board and the Uniform Contractor Evaluation Program guidelines is required. You must be able to interpret and implement changes to the Medicare program and adapt to a changing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary. ### Preferred Qualifications We prefer candidates with any Bachelor's degree, and holding a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus. ### Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is $65,485.00 to $130,677.00, with the midpoint at $98,081.00. Compensation decisions are based on experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
