Wordpress Ecommerce Website Needs Update Using Elementor

Other Jobs To Apply

You MUST speak fluent English and be an expert Wordpress developer to be hired for this job.

Please answer all questions at the end of the job post.

Quick Project Synopsis:

I own a nutrition and beauty brand, and my webite only has 2 products that I will be shipping, so I need to keep things simple for now for this project.

I need to update my existing WordPress e-commerce website which uses Woocommerce and a premium theme. The theme used on my website is Basel from ThemeForest. My site hasn't been updated in a long time, and it's long overdue. In addition, there is alot of messy coding that was done to my site by previous developers who unfortunately misrepresented their skill level.

That said, I want to switch to Elementor, as I have been told by other developers that it will be much easier for me to manage my site withe Elementor rather than getting another paid Wordpress theme. I would like you to share your thoughts on this when I interview you.

I would like us to first design the site in Figma so that I know what the site will look like beforehand.

Overall, I want the site to look clean, modern, fresh, and visually appealing to my female audience. I need my website fully updated, optimized, tested and running with 7 days. I am looking to start and complete this project ASAP, so that I can start driving traffic to my site for Q4.

It is very important that when you update my site you do not break any existing links or hurt SEO. My site is over 10 years old with a blog.

I will provide my website link to you in private message and I will share 3-4 websites that I like so you can see what I'd like to achieve with the updated look of my site. When applying for this project, please also provide samples of websites you've designed in the beauty niche.

It's very important that you have a great eye for designing modern, clean websites for beauty brands. And I'm also eager to learn how to best manage my website from you, and I'd love to work with you long term as I grow my business.

Who I'm Looking For In Greater Detail:

I'm looking for an expert-level WordPress website developer that works fast, is highly professional, a great communicator, easy to work with and is wiling to go above what I can see needs fixing on my website. I am looking to hire someone who will take initiatve to clean up and optimize my size so that it is in the best shape for attracting and converting website visitors to loyal customers.

There are several obvious issues with my site, such as product page loading issues, defective looking stars on my product reviews, Contact Page bugs, Footer pages that need to deleted/condensed, and the Newsletter signup is not working (Mailchimp is my current email client and I'm considering moving to another platform like Klaviyo in the future). There are other hidden issues too (such as Woocomerce's order email sequence and order template), and overall, these issues and malfunctions make my site look unprofessional/unstable to potential customers (especially as an ecommerce site), are slowing down page load speed (which hurts conversions, and I need these types of issues fixed with the update.

I also need to update website colors, check that plugins are working (and make any updates where necessary), make sure shipping table/plugin is properly setup, and make sure Woocommerce settings are not messed up during the update, etc...

It is also important that website speed and page load time is fast after updates are made. Please keep in mind that this is an ecommerce site, so when updates are made they should also be done in a way to also enhance customer experience and improve conversion rate.

*I am also open to any suggestions you have to further optimize my site, while keeping things simple.

Please keep in mind that you will be working on an ecommerce site with an active blog so I am most interesting in working with a professional that can also provide regular website maintenance to maintain high functionality, speed, general and SEO optimization, as well as someone who can execute effective strategies for increasing traffic, lead generation and customer conversion rate. Thank you for for applying and I look forward to working with you!
