ID283314Job TypeFull-time What to Expect We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equipment Technician to join our data collection team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in building and maintaining data collection hardware. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the consistent manufacturing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of data collection equipment.  Shifts: 8:00AM-4:30PM or 4:00PM-12:30AM or 12:00AM-8:30AM  Schedules: Sunday-Thursday and Tuesday-Saturday What You’ll Do - Assemble prototype and production-level data collection hardware, ensuring consistent quality - Perform all levels of assembly, including building, testing, and inspecting custom wire harnesses with high attention to detail - Collaborate with various teams to design, implement, and test new hardware configurations - Develop and maintain best practices for manufacturing and deployment, identifying areas for improvement to maximize quality and reduce downtime - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, ensuring that equipment is fully functional and reliable before being deployed - Will utilize company vehicles to support offside needs up to 20% of the time. - Utilize internal tracking tools to manage hardware-related issues throughout the manufacturing process and implementation What You’ll Bring - Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, demonstrating a strong technical aptitude and mechanical inclination - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware issues across various platforms and systems - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in cross-functional teams - Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues - A valid driver's license is required Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: - Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction - Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits - Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution - Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA - Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits - Company paid Basic Life, AD&D - Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) - Employee Assistance Program - Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays - Back-up childcare and parenting support resources - Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance - Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs - Tesla Babies program - Commuter benefits - Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $24.40 - $43.20/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
