About the position

Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing a virtual instructional program for students through curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to meet federal, state, and local regulations. This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their contract time from a District-designated location and the remainder of their time remotely from a non-District location.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, planning, organizing, and implementing a virtual instructional program for students through curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs.
  • Ensuring that all procedures are followed to meet federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program
  • Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in content area assigned OR proof of active enrollment in a state-approved Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) or Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program
  • Either a valid Florida state-issued Statement of Eligibility OR valid Temporary Certificate in content area assigned
  • Endorsements as required by Florida Department of Education (FLDOE)

Nice-to-haves

  • Two years’ experience in a classroom environment and/or working with children
