Main Responsibilities As a Lead on the Marketing Science Engagement team, you will be part of a fast-growing team and key subject matter expert to the national Client Success and Media teams at Albertsons Media Collective, and Albertsons divisional merchants.

The MarSci Engagement team is the analytics center of excellence that provides pre-campaign audience targeting recommendations, data driven storytelling for holistic campaign performance, best in class client consultations, and serves as the business stakeholder to support innovative enhancements for the Albertsons Media Collective.

The position is in office 4 days per week and will be based in Boise, ID, Pleasanton, CA, Itasca, IL, or NY, NY

  • Marketing Science Engagement Leadership
  • Manage and execute end-to-end Reporting & Measurement projects, data collection, analysis, and insight generation.
  • Ensure methodologies align with company standards and industry best practices in incrementality, attribution, and ROI analysis.
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, product, engineering, client success teams, and divisional merchants.
  • Team Management & Mentorship
  • Support a team of analysts, setting priorities, guiding technical work, and ensuring skill development.
  • Review deliverables for quality, accuracy, and client readiness.
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

  • Client Engagement
  • Own the full end to end analytics process during a campaign lifecycle from pre-campaign audience targeting recommendations, to data QA while the campaign is live to providing actionable insights and recommendations upon the completion of the campaign.
  • Serve as a category measurement subject-matter expert in client meetings, translating data into actionable recommendations.
  • Utilize your knowledge of category analytics and statistics to draw insights and interpret complex data to tell a story in a way that is easy for business leaders to understand.
  • Collaborate with account teams to integrate category measurement into client success strategies.
  • Develop and present insights in visually compelling and business-relevant formats.
We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following
  • Category management expertise: assortment, pricing, promo, shelf dynamics.
  • Retail media knowledge: Understanding of ecommerce, retail data, loyalty programs, ad platform metrics, onsite/offsite, search, display, sponsored products.
  • Retail & shopper analytics: panel/POS data, loyalty data, basket analysis.
  • Media effectiveness measurement: ROAS, incrementality, attribution, causality.
  • Data storytelling for CPGs and merchants: distill insights into actions.
  • Cross-functional influence: sales, merchandising, marketing, analytics.
  • Client leadership: presenting to senior CPG stakeholders.
  • Commercial acumen: JBP alignment, growth opportunities, category strategy.
  • Analytics & Statistics: Proficiency in A/B testing, geo tests, experimental design, regression modeling, and causal inference.
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills; proficiency in Python; experience with BI tools such as Power BI.
  • We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
  • 5–7 years in analytics, marketing science, or measurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead capacity.
  • 1-3 years of category insights work in the retail and/or consumer packaged goods space.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
